“Friends” is a sitcom about six young people in New York whose lives constantly intersect through work, relationships, and everyday situations. What is Season 1 of “Friends” about?

The first season begins with a dramatic turning point in Rachel Green’s life, as she runs away from her wedding and accidentally meets Monica Geller at the Central Perk café. From that moment, she leaves her old life behind and starts building a new one in New York.

She moves in with Monica, who tries to keep her life under control but often ends up in chaotic situations because of her friends and her own relationships.
