“Look at Me” (2024) is a detective drama about a plastic surgeon who is used to a strictly structured life with only work and minimal social interaction. Cha Jung-woo unexpectedly becomes involved in police investigations and begins to see people from a completely different perspective.
What is the series “Look at Me” about?
Cha Jung-woo is a brilliant plastic surgeon for whom the world has long been reduced to precision, symmetry, and controlled decisions. He can “rewrite” people’s appearances, but he barely reads their emotions and keeps everyone at a distance.
His life changes when he begins working with detective Lee Min-hyun. She investigates cases where the truth is hidden behind faces that someone has carefully altered or concealed. Jung-woo suddenly realizes that his profession is not only about beauty but also about the traces people leave on themselves.
With each new case, he becomes more deeply immersed in a world far removed from medicine and the operating room. The investigations reveal hidden connections between people, strange coincidences, and motivations that are difficult to notice at first glance.
Gradually, his work stops being just assistance to the police — it becomes part of his life. The line between professional duty and personal emotions begins to blur, forcing Jung-woo to rethink not only his work but also the way he sees people.
