“Supergirl” (2026) is a superhero film set in the new DC Universe about Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin and one of the last survivors of Krypton. She possesses the same Kryptonian powers, but has a completely different attitude toward her abilities and her past. The losses and injustice she has endured have made her tougher, while a dangerous mission beyond Earth forces Kara to decide who she truly wants to be.

Kara Zor-El survived the destruction of Krypton, but along with her home planet, she lost the people she loved. On Earth, her superhuman abilities make her almost invincible, yet her past prevents her from simply forgetting what she has been through. While Superman has become a symbol of hope for humanity, Kara feels injustice much more deeply and is not always willing to play by the rules.

Her life changes when a ruthless enemy strikes at something that means a great deal to Kara. She decides to pursue him beyond Earth, although the mission soon becomes far more than a personal quest for revenge. Kara’s unexpected companion is Ruthye — a girl with motives of her own who joins her on a distant interstellar journey.

They will encounter alien planets, unfamiliar civilizations, and enemies for whom Kara’s power is far from unattainable.
