What is the film “Guru” about?

Matt quickly becomes famous thanks to his own personal development method. He gives speeches, inspires people, and helps them believe in their own abilities. For many of his followers, he becomes more than just a coach — he becomes someone they completely trust.

His words change the way people see themselves and their lives. Matt creates the image of a perfect mentor who knows the path to success, confidence, and inner harmony.

But gradually it becomes clear that a completely different side is hidden behind this image. Matt uses psychological influence to make people dependent on him and control their decisions.

The more his popularity grows, the more his methods begin to resemble a dangerous system that is difficult to escape. What started as a search for self-improvement turns into a fight for personal freedom.

Now the main question is — where is the line between guidance and manipulation?
