The only person who does not immediately turn away from her is Ledger, the best friend of the man who died. At first, there is only tension and mistrust between them, but over time they begin to understand one another. That connection slowly starts to change both of their lives.

Fragments of that tragic night begin to resurface, revealing a different version of events in which everything is far more complicated than simply being “guilty” or “innocent.” Now Kenna must decide whether to fight for her reputation and a chance to be part of her daughter’s life, or walk away and remain forever trapped in the role assigned to her by others.
