What is the movie “The Runaways” about?
After being released from prison, Nate wants to start a new life — without crime, without old connections, and without constant running. He tries to leave behind everything that once defined him, but his past quickly catches up with him. Former associates decide he knows too much and begin a full-scale manhunt.
And at that moment, Polly suddenly enters his life — a nine-year-old daughter he barely knew existed. She doesn’t arrive as a fresh start, but as another reason why escaping is no longer possible. Now he is not just a fugitive — he is the only thing standing between a child and the criminal world.
To survive, he teaches Polly basic survival skills — how to recognize danger, how not to trust strangers, and how to act in critical situations. Together they run, hide, and learn to operate as a team while the pursuit grows closer and more dangerous.
Gradually, a bond forms between them, and the escape becomes more than just survival — it turns into a story about two almost strangers learning to stay together in a situation where a single mistake can cost their lives.
