“Eden” (2024) is a tense thriller based on true events, telling the story of a group of people who sought to start their lives over far away from civilization. What is the movie “Eden” about?

In the late 1920s, German doctor Friedrich and his wife Dora decide to radically change their lives. Their choice is to abandon comfort, rules, and society itself. They travel to the remote island of Floreana in the Galápagos archipelago, dreaming of creating their own “Eden” — a place to live in harmony with nature and free from civilization.

At first, their life seems almost ideal. Friedrich focuses on writing his philosophical manifesto, while Dora tries to restore her health and find inner balance.

However, their solitude does not last long. Gradually, other people arrive on the island — also seeking a new beginning. At first, it appears to be an opportunity for shared living and mutual support in isolation. But it quickly becomes clear that everyone has brought their own rules and boundaries.

Tension between the settlers begins to rise, turning into a dangerous confrontation where survival becomes the only goal.
