What is the 2011 “Rio” cartoon about?

Our hero was born in America and lived quietly at home with his mistress until Tulio, an ornithologist, came to visit them. Tulio claims that Blue is the last male of the blue ara species, so he has to fly to Rio to find a mate and have offspring. So Blue finds himself in the fascinating world of wildlife, where he has to learn to fly, to get his own food and to avoid predators. Finally, he finds the love of his life, but it turns out that she is being hunted by a poacher. Blue will have to go through trials and rescue his beloved, and in doing so, he will find a family and true friends, and finally believe in himself!
