The plot of the movie «Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2» returns us to the already familiar team of superheroes, who go to the planet Sovereign, where they receive a task from the local leader Aisha — to protect the energy batteries from a monster. The Guardians defeat the creature and get a reward — Gamora's sister Nebula. Together the characters leave the planet, taking, however, a precious source of energy. Aisha declares a hunt for criminals and hires Yonda and his space pirates for this purpose. The Guardians are rescued from their pursuit by an unknown man who introduces himself as Ego — Peter's father. The man tells him Quill is only half human and can control matter. The Star Lord is glad to meet a relative and learn the truth about his own origins, so he boldly goes to his home. However, Peter's friends suspect that Ego is not at all who he says he is, and the guy himself is in danger. To save their friend and the team, the Guardians have to uncover the secrets of Celestial's past and once again engage in a duel with the forces of evil.
