“The Family” (2023) is a Turkish crime drama about Aslan, the heir to a powerful family whose life is governed by the unwritten rules of the clan. Meeting Devin, a psychologist, forces him to take a fresh look at himself, his feelings, and his place in a family world where weakness is never forgiven.

What is the series “The Family” about?

Aslan grew up in a family where power, money, and reputation come at a high price. He knows how to deal with enemies, whom he can trust, and what his loved ones expect from him. Yet behind his confident exterior is a man who is gradually growing tired of living by other people’s rules. Everything changes when he meets Devin, a talented psychologist who has no intention of being impressed by his status or intimidated by his influence.

A powerful connection develops between Aslan and Devin, but their relationship immediately comes under pressure from his family. The biggest challenge comes from Hulya, Aslan’s mother, who is used to controlling every member of the family and refuses to let anyone disrupt the established order. To her, Devin is a threat to the family’s way of life, while for Aslan, meeting her becomes a chance to understand what he truly wants from life.

As Aslan and Devin’s feelings grow stronger, old conflicts, family secrets, and the struggle for power around them become increasingly intense.
